Preparing for next-generation geohazards

The Yost Research Group performs geotechnical engineering research that supports building infrastructure and communities resilient to increasingly frequent and severe natural hazards. Current research interests include soil liquefaction, climate change and earthquake interactions, and geotechnical aspects of levees for flood risk reduction.

We are passionate about engaging with communities to develop solutions to withstand and recover from natural hazard events. We are very interested in pursuing projects through a multi-disciplinary and multi-hazard lens. Please reach out if you are interested in collaborating with us!
